About Dhanbad Local Centre, The Institution of Engineers (India)

Dhanbad Sub-Centre started from 1962 and running at different places and its controlled 5 district and after Jharkhand State's it's jurisdiction was reduced and presently corporate membership strength is about 647 besides Associate is 500 and Technician Member is about 2677.

Various technical activities organized by this centre like National Convention of Mining Engineers,National Seminar on Production Engineering, All India Workshop on Refractory Industry, National Convention of Chemical Engineers, All India Seminars & Workshops on various engg. Division board besides the local technical activities like World Water Day, World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, World Environment Day, Engineer's Day, World Habitat Day etc.
